ជំរាបសួរ!

How's it going I don't a whole lot of time, but I need to make this super short for last week hope sometime when I come back I can re-do this one post. So basically, I am still alright hastening lord's work. My new companion Elder Hall ("the biggest loser") is awesome! We're co-operative with each other, however it's kind of back to reality of being a leading companion for a while. I won't back down from this challenge because I know that God got me and Elder Hall's back! It's been a crazy previous week. Honestly, I can quickly bare this... staying happy no matter the heck happens in our lives and remembering the atonement of Jesus Christ does not only help us from our previous sins, but helps us throughout our time as we keep moving forward to endure to the end! I knew this!

This week we're to move to a new apartment not changing the area but our apartments to a nicer one, it's going to be fantastic, but hectic when moving stuff around soon! I am still working my heart out along with my new companion Elder Hall, although it won't be easy at all, but I am confident as I type this that everything will get better! Will be doing a whole lot of soul searching with Elder Hall hopefully throughout this week! I GOT THIS!!!

Well, I need to run and continue to stay lost in this great cause, but just to let you all know I am still doing phenomenal, still exerting all I have in the mission just want to remind you all to stay fantastic! (And blessed!) LOVE YOU ALL! Here I go again!😁 (Have a Happy Halloween throughout this week, stay safe, and remember God and Christ!)

ជំរាបសួរ!

How's it going everyone! Hope each of you reading this post are doing awesome and wonderful as I continue to serve in Kampong Cham Branch 2! Well, it's another fun and fantastic week, was kind of a short one since part of the week was full of Deep Clean from after-Preparation-Day-time to a whole Tuesday full doing ALL me and Elder Hunt needs to do to clean our apartment so we can better feel the Holy Spirit over there! Whoo! (Still trying to preserve the cleanliness in the apartment along with Elder Hunt every time we return back there from proselyting.) Well here's a sum of all I've been doing throughout this week! (Oh yes, shout out for the office Elders, Elder Olsen and Elder Bostrom, my camera's back to normal thanking them for helping me fix my camera and the chip throughout my time serving in this mission ohhhhhh បាទ!!!! God bless them!) :

Last Wednesday: This day was full of more service, throughout this day me and Elder Hunt had an opportunity to plant rice for a service project! At Look Poo Sokhon's place! The mud on the rice field's was pretty to get on and planting the rices on the field it's was pretty warm/hot throughout the day doing, but hey! I plant rice for my first time as I serve in this mission! What a sacred to do that! Plus, on this day Elder Slavens and Elder Hall took time to teach English Class about Health! Then me and Elder Hunt shared a spiritual thought about the Words of Wisdom, me translating as Elder Hunt spoke English was fun, a bit tricky because of grammar, but it's been fun regardless.

Last Thursday: Right after Weekly Planning Session, we just took time to visit Bong Ni and Sal along with a member from Branch 3 named August... Oh wait... I meant Seyha! I help and teach them how to study scripture a lot better and inviting them to make a goal to attend a temple! Such as either the Phillipines Temple or the Hong Kong Temple or even later yet the Thailand Bangkok  Temple that's being built up soon! It's been an awesome spiritual to keep on helping come closer to Christ. Than lastly on that day we visit President Lim of the Kampong Cham District to highlight parts we love about General Conference!

Last Friday: On this day was District Meeting, after the meeting me and the District had Kaw with Rice for Lunch as Kaw was being made for a native Sister named Sister Ren me and the District played a game of Scum...Yep! Anyways, as we proselyte we came over to Look Poo Pheaps home to discuss with Narin about Baptismal Interview Question so he'll be prepare to be interviewed!  and then for the rest of the day we've done a whole lot of contacting talking with a lot of people about the Gospel. I love doing what ever I could along with Elder Hunt to explain to some people about the Gospel, so people are really aware! We had at least one actual possible return appointment after contacting so much!

Last Saturday: We met up with Poo Hiab again to share with him about PONDERIZING from a General Conference Session from Last General Conference if some of you actually watched it. That is to find a single scripture, write it on something that stick and stick it on somewhere you see it at most! It actually works and help anyone feel better through the day... ponderizing about a scripture throughout a week and change again for another week! Fun stuff! Okay! Through this day has been an awesome one of course on this day was the time when Bong Ni and Sal became baptized!!!! Woohoo! They're very happy as they received their baptism by her father/ Sal's grandfather! It's been an awesome time! Throughout this transfer I am so happy to see them grow so much spiritual, we're still going to visit them often though! Later on, we kind of had a Branch Council Meeting with the President Samouen of Kampong Cham Branch 2 at the... hospital. The meeting has lead us way we can help this Branch a lot better, and hopefully he'll get well soon! Rest of the day we just go out to the usual areas to go contacting around Kampong Cham such as on the riverside to meet some people, to invite them to learn about this Church and The Gospel!

Yesterday: In the morning we visited Bong Nani, to help him learn what the Priesthood is so he can receive the Melchizedek Priesthood soon as he received Aaronic aleady! Church was absolutely phenomonal, attendance was pretty big on that day. Me and Elder Hunt thoughout this Sacrament Meeting had a sacred opportunity to hear from a Ohm about Joseph Smith and the restoration plus from a Neakming who gave a testimony-talk about how she was able to read the scriptures in Khmer as she prayed with Heavenly Father to help her do so! So throughout the rest of day after we visit Vaneah (sorry for terrible romanization) to teach and invite him to fast so he can ask his boss from work if he can come to church with his wife and daughter! Narin has successfully been interviewed and ready to receive baptism next week thanking Elder Om from interviewing him! Lastly, we just taught Bong Pheap and her brother Pisey about Ponderizing! ...It actually works!

Phew! Well, this has been a page full even though I took a couple days off along with Elder Hunt to clean our apartment! I am doing wonderful, I had faced difficult time as I continue to serve in this mission! I love serving in this mission and no matter, the hardships I faced through serving here, I still do all I can each day. I still love serving my heritage here in Cambodia especially in Kampong Cham Branch 2! TRANSFER CALL ALERT! I will be staying to staying in Branch 2 of Kampong Cham, however I will have a new companion named Elder Hall!!!! (A different Elder Hall! He used to be very big as he studied in the MTC, and now he's one of the "Biggest losers" in the mission!....YEAH!!) I'm pretty excited to serve with him soon, however, I'll really miss serving with Elder Hunt in this area, he's guided me very well about how the area is and what can I do to keep up the work! It's been awesome and phenomenal serving with him in this mission. I am still willing to keep it up! I will not give up and I will never, ever quit this mission! Prayerfully, I can always keep caring on each and every area I serve in!

Well, I need to run and continue to stay lost in this great cause, but just to let you all know I am still doing phenomenal, still exerting all I have in the mission just want to remind you all to stay fantastic! (And blessed!) LOVE YOU ALL! Here I go!😁

ជំរាបសួ,

Welcome back everyone to my weekly posts, hope everyone's still doing wonderful as usual and . This week has been a pretty adventurous week and topped off with many wonderful counsels and testimonies from General Conference loved them throughout this week! Unfortunately everyone, my Camera still works, takes, and keeps pictures but can't really post them up due to a virus in my camera and chip....*sigh* not fun, so hopefully I could get my camera fixed by office Elders around next transfer then so... transfers call's coming around this upcoming weekend. Hopefully I can upload back up some pictures then. However, I can just share some more experiences how things are going as I continued to serve here in Kampong Cham sooo here we go!:

Last Tuesday: On this day we had an opportunity to go to a super far part of our area called Chuuk it's my first time going to that part of that area on that time. So the reason why went was because a member of the 3rd branch really wants his family to learn about the gospel but they live around our area to the farthest part of our area where it's around a Rubber Plantation. And so we went out with to actually see if they are truly willing to start learning about Christ and what we teach and as me and Elder Hunt traveled along with a tuk-tuk driver that's 2nd counselor of the Branch Presidency of Branch 2 of Kampong Cham (Poo Saruan) with the guy from 3rd Branch named Bong Dy. Unfortunately, as we visited the following members of his family, they've lacked desire to learn of Christ because they're strongly into Buddhism, Elder Hunt knows the obvious that they didn't want to learn about the gospel, when I kinda went off on sharing testimony that Christ is our savior and then Elder Hunt bored The Book of Mormon explains about God and Christ on top of that Look Poo Saruan even extend invitation for them that if they read of the Book of Mormon or have questions they can ask us when we visit them next time... hopefully. Then after inviting his family members to Christ we went to the Sister's recent convert's birthday party. Oh yeah on top of that Branch 1 sisters needs to go there to meet their recent convert of her birthday in Chuuk they made curry...Yum. (Prayerfully, I hope Bong Dy's family will open to what me and Elder Hunt teaches and what Bong Dy knows so they can receive true salvation in their lives. We'll see. Was fun and tough day even though we went to a very far part of the area.)

Last Wednesday: This day was full of doing service to be honest so throughout this day we were cleaning a Ohm's home like from last post which is Ohm Janton, soo much garbage to clean up. Her house was full of cockroaches and ant colonies wasn't a gorgeous site but we were getting her cleaned up as much as needed. After lunch, we helped a Returned Missionary formerly named Elder Ty! We just helped pulled weeds from his family new home, I which I thinks moved from Toul San Ke to Kampong Cham... fantastic. Alright after REAN English Class (this class session was as me and Elder Hunt tag along with each other to teach English and Elder Slaven and Elder Hall shared a spiritual thought about Prophets - specifically inviting them to general conference coming in this weekend!) we had contacted a potential investigator name Tong who's Chinese, but knows a lot of Khmer and wants learn about what we teach about in this church! So we met each other on the next which I will explain then.

Last Thursday: After weekly planning, before we met with Tong we met up with Bong Ni and Sal again to just review Baptismal Questions with them which was fun and we just took time help remind them on small parts of what we taught them so they can remember the importance of they know from us, and Heavenly Father concerning the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! They've been reading their scriptures and praying everyday since the start from us teaching them, they're doing so awesome! Love them! And so we met with Tong on his 1st time learning about the Church, how'd that go? It was pretty nice meeting him familiarizing himself about what we teach starting to learn about the Restoration, and so we committed him to read the Book of Mormon and pray to Heavenly Father if what we're sharing is true or better yet if the Book of Mormon is a word of God. I seriously love doing missionary work along with all of my companions no matter how tough the task is. It's amazing how truly the gift of tongues works along with me and Elder Hunt as we take time to serve here! Whoo!

Last Friday: Okay throughout this day we had Zone Training, which was fun and uplifting. Also, help us figure out how can we become a lot more effective missionaries as we serve in our areas with in the Zone.  After lunch, me and Elder Hunt went to the island again to visit Look Poo Sokhon (Khon) to share a spiritual thought with him and invite/ remind him about General Conference through the weekend. Same idea was suppose to go along with Look Poo Piara but he wasn't there but we gave his wife his envelope to invite him to General Conference as well!

Throughout this weekend we watched General Conference at "the great Neakming"'s home along with other Elders and Sisters that needs to listen to Conference in English.

Okay everyone, the main spiritual experience I would love to share at this time is we all have mistakes if our lives that we regret right? So I heard a lot of counsels from General Conference aboutrepentance or have a change of heart. Plus, coming to church each and every Sunday and keeping theSabbath day Holy by coming to church to partake of the sacrament. How does these two following things that are underlined relates? Simple, in every church meeting the sacrament helps us remind what are we are committed as we're members of God's true church which is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when coming to church every Sunday I testify that it's crucial for each of us to remember our Savior's atonement and what that done for us when we partake of the sacrament, when we partake of the sacrament worthily it cleanses us from our sins in our lives that's if we are willing take upon the name of Jesus Christ, always remember and keep His Commandment that are given us that we may always have His spirit to be with them! I testify that for each and everyone one of us it's never to late to repent we can change now, attend church with real intent don't just go through the motions! I promise that as we do these things we'll have peace in our hearts everyday in our lives! I love the testimonies bored by the current new apostles! Look it us from this link and you'll see what I mean.: https://www.lds.org/prophets-and-apostles/unto-all-the-world/called-to-testify?lang=eng

As anyone can see from all I typed I am doing phenomenal as usual, still working as diligent as necessary. I need to blast but stay fantastic and blessed! Missionary Work isn't a easy task, but it's all worth doing! So long will be typing next week. (Will be deep cleaning our apartment tonight and tomorrow so that'll be fun!)

ជំរាបសួរសួស្តីមនុស្សគ្រប់គ្នា!,

What is up everyone!? I am still doing great, and fantastic as usual! Here are some details of this week's update of how'd last week went! I'll be brief just for this P-day (I probably said that several times in my past posts already, but I am just always staying lose in the work over here serving my own heritage! Hahaha!):

Last Tuesday: After District Meeting we had a pot luck as a District.... yep first I ever experience in my time in this mission. Hahaha! Me and Elder Hunt just made a Pineapple Stir-Fry for the district, everyone else is something unique like salsa chips, and fried bananas. Yum! After that me and Elder Hunt just continued to visit Bong Ni and Sal and explained about the Laws and Ordinances with her and her son. They've been doing great still reading their scriptures in the Book of Mormon. Then lastly, on this day we met up with a recent convert Rong who's going to leave for a Family Occasion for about a month just simply teaching him and his little brother Kim about the importance of studying scriptures. (Lesson's mainly for Kim so he can prepare to be baptize when he returns from his family occasion along with Rong!)

Last Wednesday: On this day, I've been on a exchange with the one and only Elder Slavens part of my MTC District! It's been a very fun and straight forward day as I've been with him throughout this day. (He's all about selfies as he proselytes with me Hahaha!)  I love it how the many people me and him contacted he just goes "Hello!" to anyone he passes, that is of course because it's unusual to see Americans mistaken as "Barangs" or French-in-Khmer so it's been super fun serving with him for the day. Later on we had a slight service project at a Ohm's house named Ohm Chanton we took a bit of time to help the Sisters and Elders in the 1st Branch Area. Teaching Rean English Class with Elder Slavens was a blast... we just taught about H, WH words with those attend to learn English and Elder Hall shared a spiritual thought while Elder Hunt translates. (Just visited Bong Nani and his family, and Look Poo Hiab talking about Lehi's dream and shared what we loved about this part of the Book of Mormon in 1st Nephi! After lunch, we met up with a Less active named Meta or Maeta and conversed, and taught with him about the Words of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity!) Exchange was super quick on this day.

Last Thursday: After weekly planning, we just visit Bong Ni and Sal and explain about what important following we need to do before becoming baptizing referencing from Doctrine and Covenants20:37. Taught Rong again before he leaves for a month about how to better study scriptures and pretty much encouraging him about how he can feel the Holy Spirit as often as needed everyday. Before that we visit Pum Taneng, however our investigators over weren't so available as we're trying to visit them!

Last Friday: Would love to make a Happy Birthday shout-out for my current companion Elder Huntwho's officially turned 20 years old on this day! (Went to the island for the usual appointments just explain to them about General Conference coming soon in Cambodia, translated from English to Khmer! Then on this day us and the Branch 1 and 2 Sisters were organizing Covert Baptismal Records so of course so we keep our records organized! Lastly, we met up with RITH and taught with him about certain parts of Church history he needs to understand, but that's pretty much it. (Elder Hunt bought himself a box of ice cream for his birthday it's amazing! Hahaha!)

Last Saturday: On this day we visit a Less Active, and then we met up with Look Poo Hiab again we wasn't feeling so well, but still wanted to learn from. Plus so we just explain the importance of the Melchizedek Priesthood as he received it!  After lunch there was a Baptism Activity that Elder Hunt needs to participate to baptize a kid named Ohn Juli! It's was an awesome baptismal occasion, as I also gave a small spiritual thought simply about the importance of the gift of the Holy Ghost! After that we met with Sovan and taught and remind him of the plan of salvation! He surprisingly, remember week about the plan of salvation as we taught him, because he's literally a slow learner, but hey everyone learns at there own pace! Then on that day we met with Bong Bun to remind him of the atonement and the Plan of Salvation and how God loves us, and so he provided us with one savior named Jesus Christ! (Seriously, really inviting him to come to church already!)

Yesterday: Church's been wonderful actually, even though unfortunately none of our investigators we taught and invite didn't came to church this week. (Which really, bummed us out because it was a Fast and Testimony meeting on this day and some Look Poos and a Ohm has bored wonderful testimonies about the importance of the Gospel, and how God really loves us each and every, how he helps us through our trials. After Church we met with Vannae, Poo Pheap's family to teach Narin.

Okay everyone!  General Conference's officially been broadcasted and I will be watching it this weekend! If some of you reading this didn't watch it, but still want to click on the following link! I testify to you all that, you'll all receive very important counsels that can help each and every one of us in our lives from anyone that that speak throughout each session seriously!: https://www.lds.org/general-conference/sessions/2015/10?lang=eng

I need to run and continue to stay lost in this great cause, but just to let you all know I am still doing phenomenal, still exerting all I have in the mission just want to remind you all to stay fantastic! (And blessed!) LOVE YOU ALL! ❤

ជំរាបសួរសួស្តីមនុស្សគ្រប់គ្នា!,
How's it going everyone?! I hoped each and everyone of you are still doing wonderful as I continue to serve in Kampong Cham Branch 2 in Cambodia! Last week's been a good week, however... not the absolute best, but it's all good! Here are some details of this week's update of how'd last week went! I'll be brief just for this P-day:

Last Tuesday: So on this day we continued to teach Bong Ni and Sal about Law of Tithing, Fasting, and Fasting along with a returned missionary who's formerly known as Elder Pom a native return missionary from Teuk Thla! It's been a wonderful time teaching her and him about these commandments along with Elder Pom! Then we continued to teach a kid named Mang Chang and simply explained to him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (I love quizzing along with Elder Hunt on the simple steps of how to apply the gospel of Jesus Christ! After that we visited Sovan a recent convert to remind him of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, visited a Bong named Bun (sorry I disliked romanized...) to encourage him to come back to Church to gain stronger faith in Christ and then we lastly visited Bong Pheap and her family for a dinner appointment and shared a scripture from Mosiah 26:29-31 about the importance of constant repentance everyday because there's always somethings we all can improve spiritually so we can all be better disciples of Christ.

Last Wednesday: On this day we visited Meta around the town of Kampong Cham to remind him of the Plan of Salvation, was a pretty fun appointment because some people around where we are teaching him got interested on what we teach, unfortunately the people that comes around and as we invited them weren't really willing to learn about what we teach. Later on we visited Look Poo Hiab and shared with him about when Jesus saved Peter as Peter was on his way to come unto him! Next, we had the REAN English Class today! It was fun. Elder Hall and Elder Slavens took the time to teach English with those who attended English Class on that night about Jobs. While on their way teaching, me and Elder Hunt along with Branch 1 Sisters of Kampong Cham went outside of the church to escort some people to learn some English! Hahaha that was fun! So the last thing is we continued to teach Kim, Rong's little brother about Tithing and Fast Offering!

Last Thursday: After weekly planning, me and Elder Hunt had took time to meet up with Mang Chang again to teach him of the commandments such as Praying, reading in the scriptures (it's simple for him to know and remember even though he doesn't know how to read yet along with his mom.) and the importance of going to church every Sunday. Lastly, we met up with RITH to explain the Holy Bible even mentioned how the Book of Mormon tags along with the Holy Bible from Ezekiel 37:15 - 20 and Isaiah 29:11! Then we taught with him about Temples and Family History!

Last Friday: Elder Hunt couldn't do much with me on this day because he wasn't feeling so well as in he had a fever, and real sick in the stomach. So we had to unfortunately stay in our apartment for the day to have him recover as quick as possible! Throughout that time I just clean around bits of the apartment, update records about the member and investigators we serve with and study. (Wasn't a overally productive day at all, but it's better than the other day when I was serving in Ta Khmao. (Won't get into details, however some of you may find out in one of my old posts to know of what I mean.)

Last Saturday: The days was mostly full of Zone Conference for the first time with President and Sister Christensen along with a Senior Couple the Leavitts. Zone Conference has been great and pretty to take time to train here from other missionary within the Zone of what we can do to improving as representatives of Christ.
After conference we visit Look Pan grandchildren 2/3 were present as we were teaching the following commandments which is the Words of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity, the Ming (Look Poo Pan wife) helps us explain the Law of Chastity for a bit as we taught them! (Which I find fantastic! Hahaha)

Yesterday: Throughout this morning we took time to visit a inactive member (who's been really busy lately) to give him "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" for him to post at his home, he was happy to receive it! Later on, there's church in the afternoon. Church's still uplifting although it's kinda odd. Don't read that wrong, church's been great as usual. What I mean is that there's parts of sacrament meeting that wasn't really that all prepared through this day, however at the end of sacrament meeting and the rest of time in Church it's been great. After church we visit an investigator I met for the first time as Elder Hunt has already met him named Vwaneh, His wife's already a member as I met him for the first and Elder Hunt for a while, he's awesome as an investigator, he has a strong desire to continue to learn of what we teach about the Church that he wants to be baptized! Hopefully, his boss in his work will let him come to church so he can experience coming to church to feel the Holy Spirit with his family. Then lastly, we visited a kid, another one of our investigator which is Narin,(one of Look Poo Pheap's sons), funny thing is every time we meet up with him to teach he just loves to eat something every time we're here to teach him. (Honestly, reminds of me for bit because I do love to eat to, but not as much as when I was that young like 10 years old! Hahaha! So we just taught him simply about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a couples of commandments like the words of wisdom and the law of chastity.

So at this moment I like to bare testimony ounce again that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is TRUE! I know that God loves us and so we have the restored Church of Jesus Christ today! The gift of tongues has been truly helpful to me and my companion(s) as we continue to serve in the Cambodia Phnom Penh Mission! Serving a mission is truly one the best choices I chose to do ever in my life! Despite hardships, I still just kept going and just give all I could to keep inviting anyone to Christ. Yes, I truly had stumbled with some mistakes at times as I serve here (but that's why we ALL have the atonement of Jesus Christ),  I just keep it just being there for anyone I come across to serve with Elder Hunt! With God all things are truly possible.  I STILL LOVE SERVING IN THIS MISSION!

Okay everyone! Just a repeating reminder! General Conference's coming around the corner (in about 1 week) please don't forget to watch it soon! I testify to you all that, you'll all receive very important counsels that can help each and every one of us in our lives from anyone that that speak throughout each session learn more about it in the following link ASAP!: https://www.lds.org/church/events/october-2015-general-conference?lang=eng

I also would like to dedicate this post for Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles who passed away on the 22nd of September 2015.

Plus, The Family: A Proclamation to the World is officially 20 years old!

Ounce again, I am eternally grateful for each of you who's kept me in your prayers and rooting for me as I serve here, you guys have been seriously awesome! Well, this is all I had to share for this week! (Honestly, sometimes I do get frustrated, and sometimes depressed when I just have some difficulties with the Khmer language and those I approach as I'm still serving here in Cambodia, but you know what. I am just going to keep doing what I am suppose to do here as what Elder Ros's here to do. And the only person that can stop me from doing this work is me. So... I won't quit. The adversary has been trying super hard to get me to quit this mission, but you know what I am still here serving anyone who needs to specifically hear from me and Elder Hunt including each and every companion I served, and serving with as I continued to hasten the Lord's work here in Cambodia!) So I'll be posting next week... so each of you stay fantastic! (And blessed!) LOVE YOU ALL! ❤

"Behold, my brethren, he that prophesieth, let him prophesy to the understanding of men; for the Spirit speaketh the truth and lieth not. But behold, we are not witnesses alone in these things; for God also spake them unto prophets of old." -Jacob 4:13
